Amanda is a board certified Adult Nurse Practitioner.  She graduated from Polk State College in 1995 earning her degree as a Registered Nurse.  She worked as a RN for 10 years when she then graduated with honors from University of South Florida with a MSN/Adult NP.

Since 2005 she has worked as an Adult Nurse Practitioner.  She has dedicated her career to women's health.  She provides full gynecological services in a separate practice.

I love to learn!  I have to date completed the following:

ASN, Registered Nurse, Polk State College (1995)

  • Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) training and internship (2001)
  • Board Certified Operating Room Nurse from AORN (2002)
  • BSN from University of South Florida, College of Nursing (2005)
  • MSN from University of South Florida, College of Nursing (2005)
  • Adult Nurse Practitioner board certification from American Academy of Nurse Practitioners 2005, recertified 2010
  • Fellowship in Anti-aging and Regenerative Medicine (2010) from A4M
  • American Academy of Anti-aging Health Practitioners board certification (2010)
  • Fellowship in Anti-aging, Regenerative and Functional Medicine (2011) from A4M
  • Masters in Metabolic Nutritional Medicine, University of South Florida, College of Medicine (anticipated graduation 2013)

In 2010 she began her education through the American Academy of Anti-aging Medicine (A4M).  Through this organization she completed an advanced fellowship in Anti-aging, Regenerative and Functional Medicine.  In October 2010 she successfully completed and passed her specialty board certification.

Amanda is now enrolled in the only Masters program in the United States in Metabolic and Nutritional Medicine offered through USF College of Medicine.  Upon graduation in 2013 she will be among one of the first NP's to achieve this degree.

In December 2010 she opened Customized Wellness, LLC.   Here she began seeing patients, treating their hormone imbalances and other ailments using a natural approach and prescribing bio-identical hormone replacement.

To date she is the only provider in Highlands County that is fellowship trained and board certified in anti-aging and regenerative medicine, as well as the only female providing these services.  Amanda's entire medical career has been focused on women's health and gynecology.  From this experience she has vast knowledge of women's issues and is able to comfortably and compassionately handle delicate issues.

Being that Amanda had to undergo a hysterectomy (uterus removed) and bilateral oophorectomy (both ovaries removed) at the age of 36 she understands what menopause does to the body and mind.

Come talk to me... woman to woman
